Copyright Policy and Permission Requests

Copyright Materials Policy

All of the materials given to you as a part of the SOS Approach to Feeding Basic course/workshop and/or purchased by you on the SOS Handouts CD are considered to be the sole copyrighted and intellectual material of Dr. Kay Toomey and/or her Team as indicated (unless specifically noted that the material is referenced from another source and used with permission).

Direct attendance at an SOS Approach to Feeding training course is required for any person to have permission use these materials. Persons who have not attended the Basic SOS training course given by Dr. Toomey DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE ANY OF THESE MATERIALS FOR ANY PURPOSE without express individual permission from Dr. Toomey.

Parents of children with feeding difficulties who have attended an SOS Approach to Feeding training workshop have permission to use these materials only for meeting their own child’s needs. They may share these materials with their child’s physician and/or therapist(s), but that person does not then have permission to give these handouts to others.

Professionals who have attended an SOS Approach to Feeding training course have permission to use these materials as handouts in the direct clinical work that they do with patients/clients (ie. They may give these handouts to their patients/clients that they are actively treating in their practice). Professionals do not have permission to give these handouts to other professionals, nor to teach other professionals using these handouts without express individual permission from Dr. Toomey. They also do not have permission to alter or adapt these handouts without express individual permission from Dr. Toomey.

Please note that this stringent policy is not to prevent the sharing of information. Parents and professionals may discuss these materials with others, and they may read the materials together with others. However, this stringent policy is necessary to protect the welfare and well-being of children with feeding difficulties, given that there is a very high risk for potential harm to be done from untrained persons working with these children. In addition, this policy protects Dr. Toomey and her staff from any liability associated with use of these materials by persons who have not been trained directly by Dr. Toomey and/or her Team in the SOS Approach to Feeding.

Medical, Parents and Introduction of the SOS Program – Power Point Presentations

Dr. Toomey has created three PowerPoint presentations for conference attendees to give upon completion of the Basic training course.
